Site looks interesting but I cannot gain access yet to many of the topics. Is it still a work in progress or is there a log-in that I have not yet found for members?

Since the website was first built it was largely a method of keeping members informed of what was happening within the club especially if they couldn't get to the course. Now with the introduction of the MEMBERS link (which is still very much a work in progress) members can interact with the club. As you can see the FORUM is already fully operational, as is the ability to SEARCH the members list. Hopefully by the time the Summer 08 club competitions start this will make it easier to contact your opponent. Although currently only a small number of members have agreed to have their details published. The DETAILS page is will become fully operational once the all the processes have been agreed and the relevant information is passed from the club to site. At that stage the links to the voucher and handicap certificate requests will be enabled. For the members who have already requested logins, you will receive an email once the council confirms the amount of vouchers in your account.

A few other clubs have put the Saturday starting times & names on their websites so that you can log in and check tee times, remove your name or put your name down for a different time slot. This seems to work very well for the clubs that are doing it and would make it easier for players who do not have a time slot to get their name down to play on a Saturday without having to go up to the club. What do you think?

I believe the Golf Centre have considered on-line tee time booking, but I'm not aware of any immediate plans to implement it.

  5. I am noticing that if you posted a message on the old forum that your email address is displyed for anyone in the world to see. Do you not think that email addresses should be removed before activating the messages? Anyone could get hold of the email address because you do not need to sign in or anything to view them.

  6. Thanks - I understand your concern and hence the reason why the website has been updated.

  7. Could it be made possible to change your login password? The password I was provided with is not easy to remember.

  8. The passwords are issued in this format to stop other people from guessing them, but there isn't a problem if you really want it changed.

Please email info@greenacres-golfclub.co.uk with your username and the new password you wish to have.
